PETER Andre has said that he’s keen to set an example to his children about healthy eating and the importance of an active lifestyle.
The hitmaker, 45, said that his wife Emily, 29, has been an integral part of that example with her home-cooked meals for their little ones Amelia, five, and Theo, two, as well as his children, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, with ex Katie Price.

Speaking to Closer, the Mysterious Girl singer praised his doctor wife for utilising her knowledge to help keep their brood healthy.
He said: “Em, being a doctor, knows about the importance of good nutrition and exercise. We eat healthy, home-cooked food and like to be active as a family.”
Although family is a priority, Peter admitted that Emily would never put pressure on him to stay in shape because she loves him no matter what.
“But she doesn’t care what I look like,” he added. “She’d like me whatever my weight – whether I’m bigger or in good shape. When you’re in love, appearance doesn’t matter.”

The TV star, who regularly presents cooking segments with Emily on ITV’s Lorraine, also revealed that he’s keen to get his children active and away from technology.
While fitness is a focus, he added that he and Emily have been swapping their children’s sugary fruit juices for water and milk.
He shared: “We make sure they know how important it is to be healthy, too. We’ve made subtle swaps recently, like reducing their sugar intake by giving them water and milk instead of sugary juice.”
Their healthy outlook comes after Peter revealed he received a bizarre Valentine’s Day message from daughter Amelia following a hilarious technology mishap.
Doctor Emily joked that the message from the five-year-old almost had singer Peter rushing to hospital.

Emily told OK! Magazine: “Millie sent Pete a Valentine’s Day message from my Apple Watch whilst he was on tour by speaking into the watch and it converts it into a text message.
“Unfortunately it couldn’t quite make out the words ‘Valentine’s Day’ and so it said: ‘Hi Daddy, I hope you’re having a lovely time at your work and happy Fallon cystitis day, love from Millie’.”
Emily added: “It was so funny and Pete joked that he was going to get himself checked out!”
