Ivanka Trump, 38, showed off her new hairstyle while marking the first anniversary of her global initiative championing women in the workforce. The senior adviser to her father, US President Donald Trump paired the chunky highlights with a semi-sheer blue dress and nude lipstick. But Twitter users were quick to give their verdict on the new fashion choice.
One wrote: “A desperate effort to make stripes fashionable?”
Another added: “Whoever did Ivanka’s hair colour needs to be fired. I’ve seen better highlights on a Shih Tzu.”
A third said: “Who thought that hair was a good look.”
It comes just days after President Trump was acquitted by Senate following his impeachment trial.

Video footage of the moment shows him hugging Ivanka then, Melania on stage which has since been criticised.
His oldest daughter and senior adviser, Ivanka, rushed on to stage to hug her father. President Trump then goes on to hug Melania which social media users don’t believe was a “real hug”.
In the clip, Donald can be heard calling Melania “baby” as he helps her on to the stage.
Social media users were unimpressed and questioned his priorities.
The Senate voted 52-48 to acquit Donald Trump of abuse of power stemming from his request that Ukraine investigates political rival Joe Biden, who is also a contender for the Democratic nomination to face the President in the election on November 3.
The Senate then voted 53-47 to acquit him of obstruction of Congress by blocking witnesses and documents sought by the House of Representatives. A conviction on either count would have elevated Vice President Mike Pence, another Republican, into the presidency.
At the event, President Trump said: “We’ve all been through a lot together. And it never really stopped. We’ve been going through this now for over three years.
“It was evil, it was corrupt, it was dirty cops, it was leakers and liars, and this should never ever happen to another president. We went through hell, unfairly.”
