GAME Of Thrones bosses have released a dramatic teaser trailer for the second episode in the show’s explosive final series.

And Winterfell is gearing up for battle as the Night King and his grizzly army of the dead march south.

Jon Snow asks how long they have

“How long do we have?” Jon Snow asks the wildling Tormund Giantsbane.

“Before the sun comes up tomorrow,” he answers.

Meanwhile, a large catapult is fired over the walls and the army of the north rally for the imminent battle.

The teaser also shows Daenerys Targaryen in a fierce mood as she confronts longtime enemy Jaime Lannister over the murder of her father.

Surrounded by the much-loved faces of Sansa and Arya Stark and Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys threatens the Kingslayer.

She says: “When I was a child, my brother would tell me a bedtime story about the man who murdered our father, and all the things we would do to that man.”

The opening Game of Thrones season 8 episode was jam-packed with emotional reunions.

Jon was back in Winterfell with his Stark Siblings, he was also reunited with Sam Tarly.

Meanwhile, Gendry and Arya came face-to-face for the first time in years, and Bran had an interesting stare out with Jaime – the man responsible for putting him in a wheelchair.

There was a lot to get through but every single one of those meetings met viewers’ expectations.

In fact, the emotional scenes were so well written and executed that some viewers were left in tears afterwards.

“One of the best scene i’ve been waiting for this #GameofThrones,” wrote one.

Another added: “Holy mother of god! Tears, goosebumps, shock , anger.. #GameofThrones you give me all the possible feelings in this goddamn world !

“Oh my more wine! A girl is gonna watch the episode again and again until the next episode!”

Moments later, a third posted: “We waited seven seasons to see arya with jon once again and I’ll lie to you if I say I didn’t start crying #GameOfThrones.”

A fourth commented: “This moment was all I was waiting for. My heart is so happy, I can’t stop crying #GameofThrones #ForTheThrone.”

While the episode was of course action-packed, the biggest talking point was the show’s ending; Jaime and Bran’s reunion.

These two characters haven’t seen each other since Bran caught Jaime canoodling with his sister Cersei during a visit to Winterfell.

In a desperate bid to prevent their secret getting out, Jaime pushed Bran out of a tower, which left the boy crippled.

Following the fall, Bran couldn’t remember what happened and was convinced he accidentally tripped while climbing.

However, since then, he’s developed abilities as a greenseer, meaning he can now see into the past, present and future, and so it’s almost certain he knows what Jaime did.

Does this mean Bran will now want revenge?

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime, hinted to Digital Spy there’s a big storyline on the horizon between these two: “This is a pay-off to episode one of season one, but there will be more in the show this season. I think that’s really cool because it’s a story; it’s all been one story. It’s just taken a long time to tell it.”

However, while there may be unfinished business between Jaime and Bran, the pair have much bigger problems on their hands right now.

The White Walkers and the Army of the Dead have ploughed through the wall and are making their way south – next stop, Winterfell.

It’s expected many of the show’s iconic characters will be killed off during the Battle of Winterfell.

According to the rumour mill, this will be taking place in episode three – so treasure every moment with your Game of Thrones favourites while you can because it’s going to be brutal.

  • Game of Thrones episode two will air on Sky Atlantic and Now TV on Monday, April 22.
