Emmerdale fans were horrified when Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) hit Joe (Ned Porteous) over the head and appeared to kill him.
The village bad boy was stunned by his actions as the businessman was set to marry his daughter Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).
Joe’s right-hand man Graham (Andrew Scarborough) told Cain he would take care of the body and fans are convinced they saw Joe’s body move slightly meaning he isn’t dead.
Recently, Cain came clean about his involvement in Joe’s disappearance to his daughter Debbie but he doesn’t know the businessman could still be alive.
Now, it seems the villagers could be in for a big shock as Kim Tate (Claire King) returns tonight.
Kim will call Graham and order him to pick her up from prison, which he does despite having plans with Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye).
Unfortunately, on their way back to the village, the car breaks down and the pair catch the attention of Cain who is passing by.
The mechanic appears to be willing to help until he realises who is behind the wheel.
Unsurprisingly, Cain is far from happy to see Kim but the new resident of Home Farm is thrilled to bump into him.
She will be instrumental in making his life hell in the coming weeks as she taunts him about Joe’s death.
When Graham tells Kim of Cain’s involvement, she will use the information to her advantage, wanting to gain control of the bad boy.
Viewers know Kim will leave Cain squirming and even try to blackmail him into sleeping with her.
But as she taunts Cain, could it all become too much for Graham who is forced to relive Joe’s death again and again?
In a shocking twist, the former military man could reveal Joe isn’t really dead but in fact in hiding.
Many fans believe Joe is just waiting of the right moment to return and reunite with Debbie.
Or could Graham confess that while Cain delivered a brutal blow to Joe, he was the one who finished him off?
Either way, with Kim back on the scene it looks like the truth about Joe may finally come out.
Elswhere, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) will be devastated when she learns her mother Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) is terminally ill.
Last week it was revealed Lisa has a heart condition and despite having chemotherapy, her condition has not improved.
It’s not yet known how long the Dingle matriarch has left to live but it will certainly be emotional when she dies.
Emmerdale airs tonight on ITV at 7pm.
