Emmerdale fans convinced Debbie Dingle is pregnant and is going to Scotland to reunite with Joe Tate
EMMERDALE fans have spotted several hints in this week’s episodes that they believe reveals how Debbie Dingle will leave the village.
Viewers are certain the character is secretly pregnant and will flee to Scotland to reunite with her ex-fiance Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
The move would allow Debbie to be absent from screens for several months while actress Charley Webb, 31, is on maternity leave.
Avid followers of the soap twigged the plot twist during one of Tuesday night’s episodes when Debbie had to leave the pub abruptly because she felt hot.
Her auntie Chas (Lucy Pargeter) followed her outside and asked: “Not preggers are ya?”
Debbie replied sarcastically: “Oh yeah, definitely, calling it Jesus.”
But after Debbie then dropped the bombshell that she wants to move to Scotland, viewers are convinced there will be a plot twist where she discovers she is expecting and heads North to join Joe on the run.
“Debbie preggers and seeing Joe again???” speculated one fan on twitter. “Something I’ve missed?? @Nedporteous you back???”
Another posted: “#BringbackJoeTate I miss him loads. Let’s Hope he’s in Scotland and Debbie finds him. Bring him back Home where he belongs #Emmerdale”
Meanwhile a third simply asked: “Is Debbie pregnant?”
Emmerdale fans have been desperate to see Joe Tate on screens again since it was revealed back in March that he wasn’t really dead.
Joe had been presumed murdered for five months, with Cain Dingle believing he had killed him.
But viewers saw Joe alive and well in Monte Carlo, after it emerged he survived Cain’s assault and Graham Foster helped him flee abroad to save him from stepmum Kim Tate’s wrath.

If Joe does return for Debbie’s exit storyline, it would be the perfect send-off for Debbie, but Charley is so far keeping mum on her character’s fate.
She announced on twitter at the weekend that she has filmed her final scenes but didn’t tease any plot developments.
“First day of maternity leave and the suns shining,” she wrote on Saturday. “YES! I’ll be found in the garden sunbathing (for about 20 seconds before one of the kids need me).”
How Charley and Matthew broke their pregnancy news in February[/caption]
Charley is already mum to two sons, Buster, nine, and Bowie, three, with co-star husband Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe in the Yorkshire-set soap.
Her third pregnancy was announced back in February, as she and Matthew shared a picture with their children on a family walk in the woods.
The caption simply read: “#Number3.”
But the pregnancy has been a tough one so far for Charley, who has been suffering with morning sickness and SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction).
The condition is caused by stiff pelvic joints and has caused her absolute “agony”.

She told OK! magazine recently: “I still get waves of sickness but I’ve also been diagnosed with SPD [symphysis pubis dysfunction].
“It’s when your muscles have relaxed too much ready for the birth.
And Matthew revealed said the pregnancy was “brutal” during an appearance on Loose Women yesterday.
He said: “This one has been particularly brutal, she has been ill from the get go.
“She’s just been sick since we found out and she still is now and we have six weeks or so to go.”
