Chris Evans came to Meghan Markle’s defence after he responded to stories the Duchess was not “actually pregnant” and was wearing a prosthetic baby bump. The 53-year-old radio DJ did a quick round-up on his show of the news stories which were circulating last week, with one of them being about the arrival of a new royal baby. The Virgin host said: “There’s a story doing the rounds about Meghan, that she’s not really pregnant. Oh God! Some people. “Apparently there is a conspiracy that Meghan is not really pregnant, because she doesn’t want to have her baby where most royals have their baby.”
Chris continued: “She doesn’t want to parade the baby around. This is going against protocol of the last 42 years for royal babies.
“But it doesn’t matter it’s her decision. It’s her baby, it’s her choice along with Harry.”
He went to explain to his co-star, Vassos Alexander, the conspiracy theorists even go as far to say that a surrogate mother is actually carrying the baby before slamming the rumours.
“And people say no the reason is, she’s not actually pregnant which is why she doesn’t want to have this in public,” the DJ host divulged.
“There is a surrogate mother secretly stored somewhere else and her bump has been a false bump.”
He finished: “And there’s photos of her out in New York without the bump just a couple of weeks ago.
“What nutters! Absolute nutters. If you’re one of those people don’t listen.”
It comes after it was reported The Duchess of Sussex is believed to be considering an alternative to delivering her first child at the Lindo Wing in London, where both Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Princess Diana both gave birth.
Instead she is thought to be planning a home birth and has been settling in well to her new home at Frogmore Cottage after she and Prince Harry, moved in earlier this month.
The Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland is due to fly from LA to the UK this month ahead of the birth of her first grandchild.
Meghan who is who is about eight months pregnant, is due to give birth in just a few weeks time.
Meanwhile, Chris recently opened up about his lifestyle change and has admitted to losing weight.
On a recent episode of his show, the DJ revealed he had dropped to 12 stone following a “super tip” on how to lose weight.
As part of the diet plan, he cannot drink while eating, but must instead consume beverages 45 minutes before or after a meal.
He said the change has helped him shed a few pounds and has seen others compliment him on his physical appearance.
Chris Evans’ Virgin Radio Breakfast Show airs weekdays at 6.30am.
