According to Sky Sports, Taylor-Crossdale will undergo a medical ahead of a permanent move to the club.

Taylor-Crossdale, who has been at Chelsea for 11 years, was the top scorer in the Under-18 Premier League in 2017 and has appeared and scored for England at every level from U16 to U20.

He also won the Toulon Tournament with the U17s in 2017.

Taylor-Crossdale is out of contract at the end of the month and Chelsea are rumoured to have offered him terms to stay.

However, the striker has made the choice to take the next step of his career at Hoffenheim.

Southampton, newly-promoted Aston Villa and Championship club Bristol City had also been linked with a move for the teenager.

Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson, 19, starred for the club last season as they finished ninth in the league.

Nelson scored seven goals in 28 games for the club – although he only started five of those.
