Chelsea fans all say the same thing about Pulisic and Hazard during Liverpool clash

Chelsea fans have lauded their new boy Pulisic, after he scored an amazing goal in the UEFA Super Cup against Liverpool.

The USA international picked up the ball on the left-hand side, and dribbled at the Liverpool defence, before cutting inside and launching a right-footed shot at goal.

The ball rolled past Adrian in the Liverpool goal, leaving Pulisic to turn and celebrate scoring his first Chelsea competitive goal.

But, the goal was quickly ruled out for offside, leaving the winger looking heartbroken.

The flash of genius sent Chelsea fans into meltdown on Twitter, nevertheless, with the forward having earlier supplied an assist.

Some Blues fans claimed that Pulisic could replace Hazard, who left Stamford Bridge this summer after seven years in west London.

One Chelsea fan said: “Chelsea got a perfect replacement for hazard in Pulisic.”

Another said: “Pulisic reminding me of hazard 2013.”

“Pulisic is Hazard replacement profile wise,” added another. “Gets some pedigree and he will be more influential than Hazard was.”

One fan simply wrote: “Pulisic >>>> Hazard”

“Pulisic or prime Hazard?,” asked one Chelsea fan.

A fan claimed that Pulisic’s disallowed goal was similar to watching Hazard dribble and score.

“That’s so unlucky for Pulisic,” they said. “That was an Eden Hazard-esque run and finish from him.”

“Thought Eden Hazard was back for a second then. Unlucky that #Pulisic #CFC,” said another.

One twitter user commented: “Pulisic gonna be a bad boy this season, Hazard who?”

Chelsea are taking on Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul, with the Blues having been 1-0 up at half-time.

The Super Cup is the curtain-raiser for European football, with the winner of last season’s Champions League and Europa League facing off.

A goal from Olivier Giroud was enough to break the deadlock, with Chelsea on top in the first 45 minutes.

Pedro hit the crossbar midway through the first-half, while Kepa Arrizabalaga made a terrific save to prevent Mohamed Salah from opening the scoring for Liverpool.

But Liverpool equalised shortly after the break through Sadio Mane.
