Drama series Baptiste started yesterday evening (Sunday, February 18) on BBC One at 9pm. The six-part drama opened with a troubling case involving a missing sex worker called Natalie Rose (played by Anna Prochniak) and her uncle Edward Stratton (Tom Hollander). Baptiste episode one saw audiences encounter a whole host of characters who seemed to be initially unrelated. Among them were Greg (Trystan Gravelle) and his partner Kim (Talisa Garcia), who were linked to the case and Natalie.
Who is Trystan Gravelle?
Gravelle is a Welsh actor with a long list of film and television credits including the likes of Victor Colleano in Mr Selfridge and Henry Collins in AMC drama The Terror.
The 38-year-old star hails from Trimsaran in Carmarthenshire and trained at Ysgol Gyfun Y Strade.
He later attended the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London counting Bertie Carvel and Tom Burke as contemporaries.
He was also a member of the Llanelli Youth Theatre for a couple of years as he pursued a career in acting.
WHERE IS BAPTISTE FILMED?
Audiences are likely to be familiar with Gravelle from Channel 4’s National Treasure and Sky supernatural series A Discovery of Witches.
Gravelle’s more recent roles include the Johnny Flynn-led film Beast, Hamlet and One Chance.
Among his stage credits are The Changeling, The Norman Conquests, An Oak Tree and Light Shining In Buckinghamshire.

Who is Greg in Baptiste on BBC?
In the series, we saw Greg trying to persuade his longterm girlfriend Kim to tie the knot with him after he proposed to her.
However, Kim turned him down, telling him they don’t need “a piece of paper” to justify their relationship.
At the end of the episode, we learnt Kim had transitioned from former kingpin Dragomir Zelincu and was trying to build a new life for herself away from drugs and violence.
Julien Baptiste (Tchéky Karyo) discovered the truth about Kim and confronted her over the secret in a bid to locate Natalie.
HOW MANY EPISODES ARE IN BAPTISTE ON BBC?
When Julien finally found Natalie, he quickly realised nothing was as it seemed and Edward was far from the innocent man searching for his niece that he had presented to the detective.
Greg and Kim may only have appeared in episode one but they are intriguing characters who look likely to be part of the series as the story continues to unfold.
With Natalie now alive and her younger sister Cristina (Freya Kingsley) being held by human traffickers, Baptiste is only just getting started.
Perhaps Kim may become integral to the story thanks to her links to the criminal underworld and could help Julien to break the sex ring.
The series did not make clear if Greg knew about Kim’s past but he too could have his own secrets which are likely to come out as the show continues.
Baptiste continues on BBC One on Sundays at 9pm
