The Bachelor’s Chelsie McLeod admits she works out four times a week as she reveals her gruelling fitness routine following split from Matt Agnew

The Bachelor star Chelsie McLeod has revealed the secret to her trim and toned figure.  

The 28-year-old shared her intensive workout regime, but admits she doesn’t let exercise take over her life. 

The chemical engineer explained ‘people respond differently’ to various workout techniques, but wanted to let her Instagram followers know what she enjoyed.

‘I find that high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts work best for me,’ Chelsie said.

She added: ‘To be honest, people respond differently to different types of workouts. My sister, for example, looks absolutely killer from doing weights!

‘I tend to do whatever makes me happy, because I want to enjoy working out, instead of it being a chore.’

Chelsie went on to explain she works out an average of four times each week, but also believes in the importance of listening to her body. 

So she never gets bored, Chelsie likes to ‘mix it up’. 

She listed HIIT,  pilates, running weights, boxing core workouts and hiking as her favourite workouts.

Variety is the spice of life:'I also love walking [and] hiking and try to get outdoors as much as possible because that boosts my mood as well as being a form of exercise,' Chelsie revealed

She went on to name some of her favourite HIIT exercises, including high knees, burpees, ‘prisoner squats’, ‘farmer’s walks’, kettle bell swings and squat presses.

While Chelsie admitted she usually felt ‘so much better’ after working out, she follows the motto: ‘Workouts compliment my life, not rule it!’

Chelsie found fame after winning Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor, but the pair ended their relationship in November last year.
