With the release of the latest trailer yesterday, demand for pre-sales for the Marvel movie skyrocketed. This is, after all, around the same point last year at which tickets for Avengers: Infinity War hit the market. Now, amid rising demand, Cineworld have spoken out on Twitter to answer fans’ pleas.
Responding to one follower, Cineworld posted: “No solid details locked in just yet, but as soon as everything’s finalised you’ll be sure to know.”
This echoes what US chain AMC told one of their own followers yesterday.
“No info to share yet! Keep tuned in for updates,” they said.
A rumour that can be traced back to Reddit earlier this week suggested we won’t be seeing pre-sale tickets up and running until April.
But with Shazam! out on April 5, will Marvel want to separate their campaign from DC’s latest?
Whatever the case, Marvel will not need to worry about Avengers: Endgame’s box office performance.
After Infinity War broke huge records worldwide, anticipation for Endgame could be even greater – especially given the huge questions that are in fans’ minds after the cliffhanger ending of its predecessor.
For now, they have Captain Marvel to pore over – the 1990s-set introduction to Carol Danvers.
She made her present-day arrival in the latest Endgame trailer, with Thor impressed by the fact she didn’t even wince as his hammer sailed past her head.
The brief, amusing moment has left fans keen to see the pair of them team up to tear down Thanos.
One more Marvel movie is in the pipeline for the remainder of the year: Spider-Man: Far From Home, due in July.
Avengers: Endgame is out on April 25.
